A side lite is the lite, or glass, that is on one or each side of the storefront
door.
The dimensions for side lites is variable in width and up to door frame in height
or up to the top of your transom.
The term sidelite stems from light from the exterior side of the storefront door
shining into the interior of the retail or wholesale location. This is also called the daylight opening,
meaning, how much of the daylight from the exterior side will be allowed to shine into the interior.
